A BIT ABOUT OUR CLUB Greenbank Falmouth Amateur Rowing Club (GFARC) was formed in 1949 and is one of only two sliding seat clubs in Cornwall. We offer racing and social rowing in eights, fours, pairs, doubles and singles. The club is a member of the West of England Amateur Rowing Association (WEARA) and is affiliated to the Amatuer Rowing Association (ARA), the National Governing Body of the sport. The club is run by a committee of volunteer officers who are elected at the AGM. The form the management committee for the club and endeavour to see that things run smoothly and in accordance with the club constitution. If there is something you'd like to bring to their attention, email the secretary. Details in the contacts section of the website. The constitution will be available on the web site at some point in the future. There are always things that need doing and a grass roots club like ours relies on the goodwill and hard work of its members to make things happen, be it fundraising, attracting new members, or just having a tidy up around the boathouse. We hope all our members adopt a 'mucking in' attitude! 2009 will see our club reach its 60th anniversary. We will of course be celebrating, so watch out for news about this on the web site. Information about the club’s activities can be found through the links above. For further club information (such as agendas and minutes of meetings) please consult the notice boards just inside the entrance to the boat house.
